Paper Bags for Food!On Saturday, February 14th, Valentine’s Day, some members of the CENTURY 21 At the Shore Realty sales team devoted their time and resources to once again assist the local food bank “Morning Star Church” located off Grand Central Parkway in Bayville. Fifty-nine brown paper bags were collected loaded with non-perishable foods which were delivered to the food bank by Bruce & Cheryl Needhammer, Cindy Ziccarello, Monika McCluskey and Maria Dargan. At the end of the day Monika had truly summed up the feelings of all who had been involved when she stated “this was so rewarding and it was great to see how appreciative the volunteers at the food bank were when they saw how much we had collected, I wished we could have done more.” The bags had been distributed in neighborhoods and to clients of CENTURY 21 At the Shore Realty earlier in the week. See related story HERE. In June of 2008 CENTURY 21 At the Shore Realty made a commitment to help collect food and donate time at the local food bank. We received some very disturbing news just after the New Year that the “Morning Star church”, the local food bank has run out of funds and might be faced with closing its doors. Many families have been affected by the current economic conditions and job market. If you would like to participate in the Paper Bags for Food project please stop by the office for a bag to fill up or just drop off some non-perishable items at CENTURY 21 At the Shore’s office located in the Super Foodtown Plaza on Route 9 in Bayville. Every item helps more than you can imagine. Submitted by: Nancy Gray,Broker/Owner
