71st Annual Halloween Parade Review

By: Deanna Alter

On Friday, October 31st, CENTURY 21 At The Shore Realty took part in the 71st Annual Toms River Halloween Parade. Over 100,000 people attended this year and this number seems to keep growing.

The air was brisk and the ghosts and goblins were out in droves but it only added to the fun and excitement of an entire community getting together. Taking a cue from the phrase Dorothy so famously uttered in The Wizard of OZ, “There’s no place like Home” our theme began to take shape. We participated in two divisions: the walking and float division.

At the parade we unveiled an impressive house float inhabited by the great Wizard himself and Dorothy as well as agents that can make the dream of owning a home a reality. For the walking division, we were fortunate to have the assistance of Dorothy, Glenda, and the Wicked Witch of the West along with agents wearing the ever-so-recognizable CENTURY 21 gold blazer. For our first year we had a very successful run, taking 3rd prize for the walking division, but, most importantly, we are thankful that we had the opportunity to take part in a wonderful community event.

I then switched gears to Real Estate right around the time that my husband Mark and I purchased our first home in Bayville. I enjoyed the process so much I thought to myself,...More...
